Montevideo Metropolitan Cathedral in Black and White

I do love me some black and white, and I feel it suits these pictures of this cathedral quite well. I hope you enjoy them!

In terms of post processing, I applied different black and white filters to each photo. These filters have their origins in black and white photography and cinematography. Back in it’s heyday different lenses and filters were used to create different effects, some filters would lighten reds, some greens, etc. The look changes a lot depending on which filter you use and it can give you surprising results. Sometimes the effect catches me off guard too, as although I know that my yellows will lighten with a yellow filter, it’s easy to forget that pinks and oranges can get lighter with this filter too!
